Information we collect
To provide accounts, chat and security features, we may process your phone number, nickname, account identifier, chat messages, reports, sign-in state, and necessary device and error logs. Test guest mode creates only a random guest identifier and does not require a phone number.
How we use information
We use it for sign-in and cross-device sync, displaying your posts, preventing abuse, processing reports, diagnosing faults, backing up data and meeting applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use phone numbers for advertising.
Storage and sharing
The site runs on Cloudflare infrastructure. Account, chat and operational data are stored in a controlled database. OpenF1 provides race data and does not receive your phone number or chat identity. Information is shared only when required to provide the service, review security or comply with law.
Retention, deletion and your rights
Necessary profile data is kept while your account exists. Security logs and resolved reports are retained only for a reasonable period. You may request access, correction or deletion. Public chat may be anonymised after deletion to preserve discussion context and abuse records.
Security and maintenance records
To prevent spam, credential attacks and cross-site requests, the system briefly processes one-way hashed network or account identifiers, request counts and security events. Error logs are retained for 90 days and security audit records for up to 180 days. Rolling backups are access-controlled.
Children, cookies and contact
Users under 16 should use the service with guardian consent. We use only cookies necessary for sign-in, guest preferences and security, not advertising trackers. Privacy enquiries may be sent to privacy@f1pithouse.com; the operator must configure this mailbox before full public launch.
This policy is written for the testing stage and is not legal advice for a specific jurisdiction. It should be reviewed by a qualified professional before commercial launch.
