Information we collect
To provide accounts, chat and security features, we may process a one-way hashed WeChat sign-in identifier, or for website accounts an email address, unique display name, date of birth and salted one-way password hash. We may also process account identifiers, chat messages, reports, sign-in state, and necessary device and error logs. Test guest mode creates only a random guest identifier.
How we use information
We use it for WeChat or website sign-in, age-related account handling, cross-device sync, displaying your posts, preventing abuse, processing reports, diagnosing faults, backups and applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or use sign-in identifiers for advertising.
Storage and sharing
The service runs on controlled infrastructure and stores account, chat and operational data in an access-controlled database. WeChat receives the temporary login code required to verify a mini-program sign-in; the raw WeChat identifier is not stored by Pit House. A transactional email provider receives an address only when a website user requests email delivery. OpenF1 provides race data and does not receive your account identity. Information is otherwise shared only to provide the service, review security or comply with law.
Retention, deletion and your rights
Necessary profile data is kept while your account exists. Security logs and resolved reports are retained only for a reasonable period. You may request access, correction or deletion. Public chat may be anonymised after deletion to preserve discussion context and abuse records.
Security and maintenance records
To prevent spam, credential attacks and cross-site requests, the system briefly processes one-way hashed network or account identifiers, request counts and security events. Error logs are retained for 90 days and security audit records for up to 180 days. Rolling backups are access-controlled.
Children, cookies and contact
Users under 16 should use the service with guardian consent. We use only cookies necessary for sign-in, guest preferences and security, not advertising trackers. Privacy enquiries may be sent to contact@f1pithouse.com.
